When I decided to review Arbonne for acne treatments and blemish-fighting products, I discovered that Arbonne has a variety of products which it recommends for acne treatment, however the most popular line in Arbonne's anti acne collection is without a doubt, the Arbonne Clear Advantage collection of products.

I must say that I am always skeptical of products which are sold by direct marketing or pyramid schemes, so I was doubtful about the level or results Arbonne could deliver for effective acne treatment. When I decided to try out and review Arbonne for acne, I selected a three girlfriends who had varying levels of acne – from occasional flare-ups of zits and pimples, to persistent acne with blackheads and scarring.

The Arbonne Clear Advantage acne treatment system consists of four products:

Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne Wash ($15.50)

An oil-free wash that claims to unclog pores and cleanse away dirt and oil, which is medicated with prescription strength salicyli acid. Arbonne claims that its active ingredients are deposited directly into the pores, helping to clear pimples and blemishes, and also preventing new zits from forming.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Refining Toner ($15.50)

This alcohol-free, oil free toner which is enchanced with alpha hydroxy acid is meant to remove dead skin cells, get rid of excess oils, as well as soothe, balance and hydrate your skin.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne Lotion ($16.50)

This oil-free lotion is powered-up with acne-fighting salicylic acid and claims to clear and improve skin by penetrating pores to destroy the bacteria that cause blemishes. Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne Lotion claims to heal and hydrate skin thanks to the inclusion of botanical agents in its formula.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Skin Support ($18.50)

Acknowledging that acne and blemishes come not only from the outside in, but also as a result of nutritional deficiencies and imbalances, Arbonne Clear Advantage Skin Support is a dietary supplement designed by Arbonne to support clear skin from the inside out thanks to a combination of acne-fighting ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and botanicals.

How Did Arbonne System for Acne Work?

Overall my test subjects (aka guinea-pig girlfriends) were pleased with the results and gave a good review of Arbonne for its acne fighting ability after one month of using the Clear Advantage Collection. While two of the three ladies experienced increased outbreaks after the first couple of weeks of using the Arbonne acne treatment system, this can usually be expected whenever trying a new skincare regime, as it draws out the impurities from your skin.

By six weeks of use, all three women experienced reduced outbreaks, smoother, more glowing skin – even the one who had acne scarring from her teenage years, whose scars remained, but whose blackheads almost totally cleared up. The most dramatic improvement was seen by the woman with severe acne and scarring, but my friend with just the occasional pimple reported reduced outbreaks and nearly perfect skin by then end of the trial period.
