True Relgion Jeans

Made in the USA, True Religion jeans are at the best of the best and it's a well deserved title, pure and simple. Their jeans flatter virtually every figure, famous or unknown. And although nearly every celebrity owns a pair, it's no accident that they have yet to reach the over-exposure of Seven For all Mankind and Blue Cult. CFO Charles Lesser has reportedly been meticulous in whom he has selected to carry his product.

It is no surprise that the minds at True Religion are the same team behind Bella Dahl either. Those who were lucky enough to get their hoodie sets from a few years ago will tell you how unrivaled the fit and adorable the styling still is. Bella Dahl was also one of the first lines to restyle cords, making them slim and elegant. It's almost as if they watched the mistakes that other jeans designers made and vowed to be different.

True Religion: The Joey & The Bobby

The two main jeans available are The Joey (a low rise jean with flattering buttoned pockets and an elongated twisted seam at the knee) and The Bobby, a boot cut jean with the only truly wearable ultra low rise available, meaning these will not expose you even if you are curvy.

Both jeans have nice long inseams, horseshoe stitching on the back and an adorable front coin pocket.

To further please consumers, the exact same cut of either the Bobby or Joey comes in Rigid (100% cotton) or stretch, corduroy, and the now legendary Vintage or destroyed styles. Most important is the positioning of the pockets which, while on the larger side, shape the butt beautifully with signature horseshoe stitching and spot-on placement. Best of all, every pair is comfortable!

True Religion Jean Washes & Cord Colors

The most subdued washes are the usually back-ordered hand sand (gorgeous black or blue denim with no distressing) and aged Indigo (a medium sky blue). The cords are a 35% poly / 65% cotton blend and come in over ten beautiful colors ranging from Garnet, Lilac, and Army to Aqua.

Destyroyed Jeans

The Destroyed jeans design improves greatly on the already cool Abercrombie and Fitch Destroyed flare. By placing the rips in a vertical line down the front thigh as opposed to just a straight slit across the knees the distressing is far more flattering and artistic. Functional too, as there is less of a chance in creating any more destruction this way.

Vintage & Bullet Washes

The vintage and bullet washes feature lighter distressing for a tamer look. In keeping with True Religion's exclusivity they frequently create limited edition items that quickly vanish. Their exquisitely patchwork destroyed skirt is already a wearable legend.

True Religion's Fabulous Fit

It's the fit that is unrivaled though, looking good on the very thin the very curvy and all sizes in between. Many of True Religion's rival jeans are cut super small through the thighs and hips; in contrast, True Religions run true to size. If you are used to skinny lines like Frankie B, Hudson or AG, size down on these or stick with the rigid styles.

High-end denim jeans are here for the long haul - some fashion experts have commented that the coming power business look will be high-end jeans with shirt & blazer, as opposed to the old 'suit'-type office wear. The one caveat so far is that True Religion washes and styling tend to a more Boho, night club looking and are not as subdued and therefore dressy as 7 For All Mankind or James; consequently, they might not work out to dinner or at a causal Friday meeting. One can be assured that when they do create a dress jean, True Religion will have the market justly sewn up.
